I moved from Bellaire, TX to Lake Jackson in 8th grade. It was the hardest year of my life. I had no friends, and no one would reach out to me....except for Belinda. I still have clear memories of the day she left us. We were dressed up for "Kicker" day at LJI (Or cowboy day....not sure what is was really called back then). I can still see in my mind....that day....and later, her funeral....I was devastated, because she was the first friend that I had that passed away. I thank God for putting Belinda in my life, even if for such a brief time. When I needed a friend, she was there.
