What is your favorite memory of Brazoswood High School?
Good friends and good teachers. I remembered Sandy Henson very well. We were in art classes together. She was really nice to me. I am sad to learn here that she had passed away at such a young age.
I remember all the girls were so cute. Some friends gave me science fiction novels to read which started me on the joy of reading and helped improve my English. I would not be where I am today were it not for their kindness and friendships.
Any other memories of high school that stand out in your mind?
I was still a new refugee immigrant at that time. Everything was so new and wonderful then. I had a rusty baby blue VW beetle with a big hole in the floor and I drove it everywhere. The radio music was great! Al Stewart's The Year of the Cat was my favorite song. It was such a carefree time!
All the teachers were so nice to me. I remember them all very fondly. I knew Mr. Brown the math teacher had passed away a while back. He was a good friend to my family.
